A Must-Have Tool!

I couldnt improve on the sentiment! Two words - Love This! A few more words would include things like this is an important tool to anyone who has an interest in Astrology. Whether you are an accomplished professional or just looking at your own chart for the first time, all the tools you need are right here! It would be a nice touch if you could make the app iCloud capable! It would be nice not to have to re-enter data

Dead app

The app crashes the iPad and the website is dead.

Dont buy - crashes on newer iOS versions

I used to love using this app, but as of the last several versions of iOS it crashes, and now it crashes my iPad. Looks like abandonware to me. Dont buy this if you have a newer version of the operating system.

Crashes ON IPAD.

This app used to work great...until recently. Now it keeps crashing my iPad when i open it causing a restart. Can you guys fix this problem? It works on my iPhone, but you cant see the names of the lunar mansions.

Ill keep looking

I just want a program like Delphi was on the palm. I want to enter a name and birth info and get a chart. Then be able to compare that to another person or the current time. This program doesnt do that. There is no option to save charts, no option for comparison charts and it doesnt handle daylight savings time. As simple as it was Delphi was a perfect program for a mobile device and it was free. Someone please just copy that and I will buy it.

Was excited, then disappointed

While its so exciting to see a astrological program capable showing the current horoscope there seems to be a serious programming bug that interferes with calculating an accurate birth chart. While trying to bring up a birthchart the program kept locking on to the wrong time zone in turn throwing off the calculations for ASC. MC and houses by a full hour, rendering the chart inaccurate and therefore pretty useless. Inexperienced would be astrologers may not even spot the problem and therefore base interpretations on an erroneous chart. This is a common mistake when calculating charts by hand, I hope this bug is fixed soon along with adding the capacity to at least save charts to file. Its a start, but has a way to go before being truly useful.

Love it

Weight of my laptop off my back. Works great. Would love to see these features added: Email charts capability Delete charts no longer needed Ability to pinch & pull to enlarge & look at detail on charts page Solar returns & progressions Bi Wheel One point- the compare doesnt really seem to work. Can only scroll between 2 charts now. Would be better to see biwheel. Thanks & please keep working on it!

wish I had my $ s back

it sounds soooo great, get horoscopes off the iPhone!!!!! How great is that? Photo it, and email to myself then print it!!!! However, it says you can do horoscopes but you cant. It is as simple as that!

Needs tweaking

The visuals on this are cool, but it is a no brainer that the user should be able to set a default location. Also for my birth chart the ascendant was off by 2 hour. If I set the time for 2 hours earlier than the actual time my chart displays correctly.

problem with time

Nice app, what I was looking for. But my ascendant is off by 1 hour. I reported it on the creators support board in December, and was hoping this update would fix it, but it didnt. How can I run accurate charts with this problem? Thats not what I paid $10 for.

One obvious bug...

I really want to like this app, but it has an obvious bug: the planet Venus doesnt show up in the table of aspects. Yes, it has a million features (including many that very few people will ever use), but this bug is huge, very basic, and totally obvious! If a bug like this slipped through unnoticed, how many subtler bugs slipped through as well? In the apparent rush to include spiffy new bits of user-interface eye-candy and every obscure quirk of astrological lore did basic care and testing get overlooked? Please -- I like Astrolgo and want it to succeed, but this kind of thing really undermines my confidence!

OK, still some bugs

Some of the same bugs are here as people complained about in previous versions. My own birth chart is off one hour, and as others have pointed out, beginners would probably not catch this. Charts cast for Daylight Saving Time in the USA are fine. Anything that is in Standard Time is off one hour. (You need to make the birthtime one hour later on the program in order to produce the correct chart.) I havent tried non-USA charts yet. Also, their website advertises the availability of Alcabitius semi-arc houses, and there is no option for that in the program (only the Alcabitius declination). Finally, there is no way to turn off the Black Moon without also turning off the Lunar Nodes. Since the Nodes are an ancient point and the Black Moon is a modern, made up point, they should be in separate categories. Aside from these flaws (which are not insignificant), the program is quite satisfactory. As a classical style astrologer (pre-17th century), this program offers some great features: charts with no interpretations, planetary hours, etc. However, since this is the first app I have actually purchased on iTunes, I am disappointed in at least the mathematics of Standard Time charts. I could live with the other flaws, but this one make the program almost unusable. Also, there doesnt seem to be anywhere on the authors site where one can actually give feedback anymore to report these issues.

Impressive!

Love this app! Love the volume of asteroids and obscure aspects that are included. The newly expanded aspect grid is awesome! New ability to email chart rocks! Thanks! Still has the problem of the birth hour being off. It seems to occur when setting a time that is opposite to your current DST status. Looks like you need to check the DST status of the birthdate and current date, then make corrections to GMT. Nice to haves: In the horoscope section, where you have the houses and all of the planets in each - would be nice to have similar tables for the elements, qualities, genders, dignities and detriments. Still not clear how some of the settings work for comparisons. Expanded help would be great. Overall super application!

Now worthy of 5 stars

This app is a great time saver, calculating all sorts of charts. Dont expect intrepretations, the strength of this app is calculating and showing the various aspects of the charts. It is full of features, not all of which Ive explored yet. If youve ever calculated astrology charts by hand, youll recognize this app as a fantastic value. I held off on a review before, because it was off by an hour sometimes. I mentioned the issue on the forums and the developer responded promptly and issued a fix a few weeks later.

Great tool for serious astrologers

I use this often. Can instantly calculate a birth chart. Has a Regiomontanus house option for horary astrologers. Spend all my time on the positions page under the horoscope tab. Fabulous how you can wheel through dates and times and watch the positions move instantly. Truly excellent - thanks!

keeps crashing...

No proper means of entering locations not in the list, because the map doesnt zoom in far enough to be useful moving the location pointer. Further the app keeps crashing, particularly on saving a profile/report. Also, the app should save state between launches, but it does not, so unless you save a report, you have to start from scratch. All things that can be fixed, but for now, the app is a nuisance, even though it shows potential.

Useful, but needs work

It is a little strange that we are basically paying this developer to write a better program, so hopefully he will (or she) listen. It took me a while to figure out the odd data entry system for one thing. For another, the desing of the chart could be better, surrounding the planets with a colored circle makes them very hard to read on a Touch. Seems like a clear white screen is better, a simple clear picture without so much clutter, seems like an easy fix. The program has potential but needs some better instructions and less clutter in the images.

The charts are good but needs guidelines

Calculating the charts is not enough, the system needs some guidelines about the interpretation and maybe a crash course for an amateur like me. Where to start? What to do? How to interpret the charts and the data? If you add these functionality the system will be useful for amateurs and pros.

Wow!!!!!

This is one amazing app! I cant believe what has been packed into this program. It gives you bi-charts, midpoints, and some many features that my pro astrology program on my desktop doesnt even have. Of course it doesnt do triple charts or progressions, but so what! What a tool--thank you!!

Update?

Since the update it seems to work slower, I dont get it. Just changing from the chart view to aspect view makes it all choppy
